Landscape Gardening - Enjoyment

Landscape Gardening - Gardening is in the blood of all humans. Learning to enjoy plants and the sound of birds, squirrels and crickets is a wonderful experience and for some it is second nature. However, for some it must be developed.

For years I didn’t take the time to smell a flower, admire a tree or even listen to a bird sing. Today, because of living in Cambria, California I have learned to appreciate landscape gardening. I have learned how to enjoy the quietness and beauty of a single flower.

I know this sounds a little corny but it is not corny. It takes time to develop patience and love for the sounds of nature, plants and trees. Now, don’t get me wrong I don’t hug trees but I have learned more about God through nature.

I live in the forest with natural landscaping but all throughout my little town yards are beautifully decorated with spectacular landscapes.

If you are struggling with the idea of enjoying a flower try stopping for one minute and looking closely at the unique design of each pedal. Slow down a second and learn to enjoy this moment in time. I dare you to try it. If you do you will find a moment of peace in nature.

If you yard is mess let me encourage you to do a little flower planting. I promise you it will make you feel better to do a little gardening. Plant a few flowers and by all means stop and listen to a bird sing.

Watch this video. It is really cool.
