Antioxidant - Cancer Prevention
Antioxidant - Can cancer really be prevented by using vitamin E and other nutritional methods.
I think it is possible to reduce the risk of cancer if you eat properly, watch your weight and possibly use nutritional supplements and pray.
Cancer is the plague of the century and I believe if we radically change what we eat, breathe and drink we might have a good chance of avoiding this horrible malady.
According to Alive.Com n a recent study by the University of Texas Anderson Cancer Center, researchers found that people who ingested more vitamin E lowered their rate of developing lung cancer by up to 53 percent.
Researchers studied 1,088 lung cancer patients and 1,414 healthy participants and discovered that those whose diets contained the highest levels of vitamin E were far less likely to have lung cancer.
Add vitamin E to your next meal
Vitamin E is an antioxidant that is said to protect cells from the damaging effects of free radicals.
Seeds, nuts, vegetable and fish oils, whole grains, and green leafy vegetables such as spinach are rich in vitamin E.
To increase vitamin E intake, try adding to your next meal one ounce of dry roasted almonds (containing 7.4 mg of alpha-tocopherol) or one tablespoon of wheat germ oil (containing a whopping 20.3 mg).
A half of an avocado will provide 2.1 mg.
