Battery Recycling - Dispose of Batteries Properly
Battery recycling is your responsibility. Oh gee, thanks but I don't know which battery is recyclable or not. Do this, Take out a battery from a flashlight, remote control unit or a computer and tell me what type battery you are holding. Can you tell the difference between a lead acid battery and a nickel-cadmium…? I can't tell the difference. Maybe I am just slow or old or something but I don't take time to look at what type battery I am throwing away. What about you, do you take time to look at your dead batteries? Even if I looked I still wouldn't know the difference.
What do you do with an old, dead car battery? In this section, we are going to look at easy ways to recycle batteries without being a battery expert. Recycling has to be simple and easy in order for the ordinary Joe, red neck Mike or me to take part in the recycling movement. Do you agree? Let's keep things simple. A battery is a battery even if the composition of that battery is different. The real question is how you dispose of that batter safely. Batteries are dangerous and need to be handled with caution regardless type. In addition, if you don't know the difference between a safe battery and an unsafe one, treat them all with care.
