The Cure for Boredom
November 10, 2009 Over Coming the Boredom of Life's Race The misery begins when you wake up. The race is on for another day. Get up in the morning and ready, get set and go. Drink the coffee, stretch the muscles, comb the hair, out the door, work for hours and then the race continues. In the car, turn on the radio, stare at the road, home at last, supper, and turn on the television, bed. The race is over until the next day. Good Lord that sounds like boring man. Life can become boring and the only way to survive this race is what? How do you survive the race? Do you drink ever night in order to create some strange illusion the race is not as bad as you think. Do you obsess on just how important you are to the race or maybe you think about winning the race. Regardless of how you cope with life and the dull existence of every day life, the race continues, doesn't it. Over coming the boredom in this long race to the grave isn't easy and it does take faith. I bet you weren't expecting that word. It does take faith. You have to believe that you have purpose in life and your race is directed by God. God cares about your race. He loves you so much he allowed His only son to die in your place. When you accept this fact God installs a purpose in your life. Life can still get boring but deep inside you know you have a purpose. I really don't have time to go to deep into this subject. I have to get in the race today. I have to comb the hair, out the door and go to work. Nevertheless, I do have a purpose in life.
