Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
You have finger prints, DNA, blood type and now you have your own carbon footprint.
Today everyone should be aware of their own carbon emissions.
Environmental pollution is real and it can be reduced but it takes identification and action.
Are you willing to work on reducing your own pollution?
Willingness is the key to change.
Without willingness change will never occur. Let me ask you to keep an open mind and be willing to learn.
What is a Carbon Footprint?
According to Carbonfootprint.com a carbon footprint is,
"A carbon footprint is a measure of the impact our activities have on the environment, and in particular climate change. It relates to the amount of greenhouse gases produced in our day-to-day lives through burning fossil fuels for electricity, heating and transportation etc.
The carbon footprint is a measurement of all greenhouse gases we individually produce and has units of tonnes (or kg) of carbon dioxide equivalent."
The definition is simple and complete. We need to do something about reducing the amount of CO2 we put into the environment.
Are you game for this?
You can do this if you just try.
Are willing to reduce your footprint which in turn reduces the gases in the atmosphere?
Calculate, Reduce, Offset
The push today is to calculate, reduce, and offset our dirty, black footprints. Reduce means change your habits in regards to energy use.
Calculate your own footprint with the tools on this page. After calculating your footprint see what you can do to reduce the size of your print.
Sounds hard but we can do it if we work together.
Offset means to produce and use safe forms of energy in order to offset the carbon emissions.
Remember if you want to move a mountain you start with the first stone. If you want to make a million dollars you start with the first penny. Do you get the idea?
It is time to start the change in order to give our children a chance for a cleaner, healthier environment.
We should take out the garbage. If you didn't take out the garbage in your home what would happen?
Yeah, pretty nasty and stinky don't you think? Going green means taking out the trash in our environment.
