Green Sustainability - What does it Mean?
See the bug in the picture below?
It has sustainability! It can adapt, change, and sustain its self in difficult situations.
The bug, I don't have any idea what sort of creature it might be but I am sure the species has survived for centuries.
In short, the term sustainability means the ability to endure. When you apply the word "green" to sustainability it basically means to endure and adapt to the challenges of environmental, physical, emotional, social and the spiritual difficulties faced in the 21st century.
The 21st century is proving to be a tremendous challenge and if mankind is going to survive it must pivot, change and head in new directions. The old must go and new ideas must take their place.
Let me give you a little more information on the term sustainability. Sustainability as it involves humans means we must incorporate the natural world into living in order to maintain a functional lifestyle.
In other words, to maintain or endure the next few years we must take care of our plant, its resources and every other factor of the ecological system. You might careless about going green or green sustainability but you need to pay attention to this before it is to late.
Wikipedia says,
"Sustainability has become a wide-ranging term that can be applied to almost every facet of life on Earth, from local to a global scale and over various time periods. Long-lived and healthy wetlands and forests are examples of sustainable biological systems. Invisible chemical cycles redistribute water, oxygen, nitrogen and carbon through the world's living and non-living systems, and have sustained life for millions of years. As the earth's human population has increased, natural ecosystems have declined and changes in the balance of natural cycles has had a negative impact on both humans and other living systems" Wikipedia.org
We are hearing the term sustainable living, building sustainable housing and so forth and so on. It can be confusing but the main thing is we must take care of what God has given us to survive.
We can't take a nonchalant attitude towards the environment any longer. We must stand up and demand a new way of looking at every aspect of our being. We need to examine our food, water, energy and power. If we are going to endure change is necessary.
I don't know how you feel about the situation but I believe it is time to step up to the plate and make the changes necessary to secure our future.
The bug in the picture above has learned to adapt and change and we must do the same thing, adapt and change.
I am going to list a few books on the subject.
In addition, I am going to include a link for building websites.
