Today we are going to give you the first tip with many more to come. 5 Tips for an Active Life Style If you are like me eating during working hours and while on the run is not a priority. I forget I need to eat or graze on healthy foods during the course of my busy day. I tend to wait until I get home then eat like a compulsive cow. Researchers tell us eating during the day is important and grazing is highly recommend. If I don't snack during the day, on healthy food sources, I lose energy and effectiveness. So, with that in mind let me give you at least 5 tips to staying energized and healthy when you have a busy life. 1. NO Fast Foods. Do not give into the craving for fast, unhealthy foods. French fries and a burger will do more harm that good. So when you see the golden arches just pass on by. 2. Take your snack with you to work. Make sure you have a bag of whole grain muffins, carrots etc. Make sure you always have a healthy snack available. This is so important. When I feel the need for chocolate or a coke or a burger I stick a piece of fruit into my mouth. If you don't like fruit find anything nutritionally sound. 3. Don't neglect potassium rich foods. Potassium deficiency can create all sorts of problems including depression, anxiety and fatigue. Take a banana with you or a supplement. Remember to keep your potassium level at a normal level 4. Eat lunch if possible but do not over eat. If you are lunch sort of person make sure you eat something which will provide you with energy. Salads help but watch the type of dressings you put on the salad. In addition, put more than just melted lettuce on the salad. 5. Drink clean water and drink plenty of clean water. If you have a good water filter at home take your own water. Drink as much water as you can. Dehydration is a common problem and the only way to solve the problem is to drink water. You can find a few nutritional drinks but watch the caffeine drinks they can create problems, liking taking a pee every few minutes. Well, at least for me it works that way. Maintaining a good nutritionally based eating habits will do more than you ever dreamed. Remember this is the first tip.
