Pollution of Air - Damaging Affects!
pollution in the Gulf of Mexico deserves major attention but so does air pollution.
The eye ball in the picture of above is really cool.
A friend of mine at the bank let me take a picture of his eye.
Did you know air pollution affects your vision?
If you live in an area of the world were air pollution is rampant you already know the affects.
It is no secret polluted air affects the eyes, lungs, and every other area of the human body.
Pollution of air is a major problem in the world and as far as I know the only agency in the USA who take responsibility for the quality of air we breathe is the EPA. Boy are we in trouble.
If the Government is responsible for stopping pollution of the air we better all get gas mask.
I don't want to be negative in regards to the EPA, however the EPA has its attention on the oil spill.
You have to take responsibility for the quality of air you breathe. You can't wait for the government.
You have to step up to the plate in your own area and do what you can to stop the pollution.
The best thing you can do is regulate your own home. Air filters in your home can help tremendously with indoor air quality.
If you are a smoker, I think we still have a few million in the USA, stop smoking or smoke outside. I know I sound like all the rest of the greenies, stop smoking you have to be kidding.
No, stop smoking and save a kid. If you don't care about the kids then save yourself. I know smoking is not the only reason for poor quality air but it is a start.
What else can be done about pollution of air? According to the editorial staff of FamilyDoctor.org familydoctor.org, "What can I do to protect my family and myself?Check the predicted AQI in your area.
Be careful if the AQI is greater than 100. Also be careful if there are high-risk weather conditions, such as a hot, sunny day, and if you begin to develop symptoms like chest tightness, burning eyes or a cough.
You can protect yourself and your family from the effects of air pollution by doing the following:
Stay indoors as much as you can during days when pollution levels are high. Many pollutants have lower levels indoors than outdoors. If you must go outside, limit outside activity to the early morning hours or wait until after sunset.
This is important in high ozone conditions (such as in many large cities) because sunshine increases ozone levels.
Don't exercise or exert yourself outdoors when air-quality reports indicate unhealthy conditions. The faster you breathe, the more pollution you take into your lungs.
These steps will generally prevent symptoms in healthy adults and children.
However, if you live or work close to a known pollution source, or if you have a chronic heart or lung problem, talk with your doctor about other ways to protect yourself from air pollution." To read the full article click here.
