Tiger - Endangered Species

Tiger - It isn't hard to believe the tiger is on the endangered species list.

The tiger a majestic, wonderfully made creature with style and grace unmatched by any other animal in the Kingdom is being killed for its penis.

Hey did that startle you? It is true people according to a report on Edu.pe.ca tigers are being killed for their penis and other organs.

Goodness, does that surprise you? Remember the Buffalo those spectacular animals were killed for a lot less by civilized individuals.

Well, civilized might not be the right word.

going green image Anyway, humans are ruthless. OK, let's be fair. These animals have been killed for centuries for many reasons.

Unless we educated the individuals who are killing these animals they will keep killing.

Why should they change their habits? We have to give them a reason to change.

We have to show them a better way to find medicine for their family's.

Now, the ones killing for profit. Lock them up, stop them by any means necessary. Unless we stop them now the tiger is history.

Here is a little more information on the tiger endangerment.

going green image Tigers in Crisis Despite 20 years of international conservation efforts, we are losing ground to save the tiger as, on the endangered species list, all sub-species of tigers are considered critically endangered species.

Of the eight original subspecies of tigers, three have become extinct in the last 60 years, an average of one every 20 years.

The Bali tiger became extinct in the 1930's.

The Caspian tiger was forced into extinction in the 1970's. And the Javan tiger followed in the 1980's.

The number of tigers in the 1900's --over 100,000 -- dropped to 4,000 in the 1970's.

Today, they are a critically endangered species with the total of all the wild populations of the five remaining subspecies (Bengal tigers, IndoChinese tigers, Siberian tigers, South China tigers, and Sumatran tigers) is an estimated 4,600 and 7,700 tigers.

It is known that all remaining tigers live in small, isolated populations in widely scattered reserves.

Many animals are on the verge of extinction. This video has some really great pictures of those animals.
